About the Teacher

Mitch Stark is the Founding Creative Director at Theatre Avenue.

He designs digital projections for theatre and ballet companies internationally, for productions such as Willy Wonka, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Lion King, and beyond. Mitch travels the country teaching projection design workshops, produces media content, and writes for theatre and dance magazines and blogs such as TheatreArtLife.

As an art director and designer outside of theatre, Mitch created nationwide corporate and non-profit campaigns including print, web, illustration, and motion graphics for NBC News, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. He worked for 16 years with hundreds of clients as a graphic designer, illustrator, web and motion designer. He also taught public and private school art for nearly a decade.

Mitch earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Ball State University, where he studied art, design, and computer animation.
